Price range: £3.99 through £29.99
Yarrow has been used in herbal medicine for thousands of years with evidence of its use found in Neanderthal burial sites. According to legend the hero Achilles used yarrow to treat his soldiers’ wounds in battle giving rise to its Latin name Achillea millefolium. It has been used across European and Native American herbal traditions and was a familiar herb in British cottage garden medicine. It has a strong aromatic bitter flavour and is prepared as an infusion.
